Faculty and the Library Program

Faculty and the library program intersect at many points:

  • Course-Integrated Instruction and Assignments: Professors and librarians collaborate to embed information literacy throughout curriculum.
  • Course Reserves: Faculty may designate personal copies or items from the library collection for reserve status, providing in-library use of items for students.
  • Collection Management: Librarians welcome faculty recommendations and strive to introduce resources that support courses.
  • Faculty Research: New faculty should consult with librarians on resource availability in their fields.
