Public Policy Analysis Challenge: 2024-2025

Academic Sources

Use the resources on this page to search for peer-reviewed journal articles that can support your policy recommendations from an academic or scientific perspective.

Journal Article Databases

  • JSTOR | Multidisciplinary full-text database. Great for humanities research. Not a best choice for medical research as the most articles from many journals are between 2-5 years old.
  • PyschInfo | Index database for psychology. The best and most complete psychology database.
  • PubMed | Database run by the National Library of Medicine with over 34 million medical articles. Best choice for medical articles including drug trials.
  • SocIndex | Database covering all aspects of sociology including social work, social psychology, and gender studies.
  • Political Science Complete | Database covering political theory, comparative politics, and other political topics.
  • Google Scholar | A comprehensive but unsophisticated search covering scholarship from all areas. Best used for tracking down specific articles and publications. Interfaces with our library subscriptions while on campus.

Law Review Databases

  • HeinOnline | The most complete database available to us for law review articles. Select "Law Journal Library" from the second box on the homepage.
