Find Scores

You can search for scores the same way you'd search for a book in the library catalog. However, after you enter a keyword search (the composer's name or the title of the piece is a good place to start) you should filter for "Scores" under "Resource Type" in the filters along the side.

Scores are cataloged under the Library of Congress heading: M.

Academic Search Complete
Full-text peer-reviewed journals across all fields including music and education.
JSTOR
Full-text of scholarly journals with coverage from the first date of publication to within 2–5 years of the present.
ERIC – EBSCO
Free education-related sources of interest to educators, researchers, and the general public. Completely indexed with some full-text.
Google Scholar
Find an article by its title, and request via Interlibrary Loan/Tipasa if not available in full-text. Lake Forest College patrons should customize Google Scholar if using from off-campus.
