Please note: APA updated its citation style in January 2020 to APA 7th edition.

Chicago: Notes (Footnotes or Endnotes) and Bibliography

Chicago Style is often used for history, art history, political science, or other papers requiring footnotes.

Chicago Style author-date system is often used for physical, natural, and social sciences. It uses parenthetical notes in the text of the paper rather than footnotes or endnotes.
