All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Anyone may use the libraries at Lake Forest College for study, research, and in-house use of the general collections, magazines and journals, government documents collection (including electronic government documents and public workstations), and special collections and archives. We encourage you to search the library's catalog, or to call the Reference Desk at (847) 735-5074 before you visit. During periods of high use (such as during midterm and final exams), all study spaces, carrels, workstations, seats are reserved for use by Lake Forest College students, faculty, and staff only. Unaffiliated users may be asked to leave during such times.
Some library databases are proprietary and may be used by Lake Forest College affiliated patrons only.
Photocopying is available.
Printing from Reference Area workstations is available at $0.10 per page for non-Lake Forest College affiliated patrons.
Word processing is available.
Donnelley and Lee Library is located on Middle Campus. Directions are available online or by calling the Circulation Desk at (847) 735-5056.
Borrowing material
The following may borrow books from the Lake Forest College library:
Lake Forest College students, faculty, staff, alums, trustees, emeriti,
and faculty/staff spouses and partners;
Patrons from participating I-Share Libraries in good standing;
Lake Forest and Lake Bluff residents with a valid public library card;
Students and faculty from Trinity International with a valid ID.
Interlibrary Loan (including material requested from other libraries through I-Share) is available for current Lake Forest College faculty, staff, students, and emeriti only.
Patrons from other libraries must request items through their home libraries' Interlibrary Loan departments.
Magazines and journals, reference material, and special collections material do not circulate. Videos tapes and DVDs circulate to Lake Forest College faculty, staff, and students only. Sound recordings circulate to Lake Forest College faculty and staff only.
Patrons who have borrowing privileges may check out materials for themselves but not on behalf of someone else.
